Acta Anglica Tyrnaviensia (AAT) is a peer-reviewed open access scholarly journal dedicated to Anglophone Studies in its broadest sense, encompassing literature, linguistics, culture, history, theory of teaching and related fields. We welcome submissions that offer original research, insightful analysis, and contribute significantly to the field. Please adhere to the following guidelines when preparing your manuscript for submission.
I. Scope:
AAT publishes articles on all aspects of Anglophone Studies, including (but not limited to):

English, American, and other Anglophone literatures

English language and linguistics (including historical linguistics, sociolinguistics, applied linguistics, corpus linguistics and discourse analysis)

Anglophone cultures and societies
-
Postcolonial studies
-
Translation studies related to Anglophone texts
-
Teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) with a strong theoretical or research-based component related to Anglophone contexts.

II. Manuscript Preparation:
Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise English. Non-native speakers are strongly advised to have their work professionally proofread before submission.
Format:
File Format: Submit your manuscript as a Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) file.
Font: Use Calibri, 12-point font (for more details see: https://journal-aat.ucm.sk/template
Title Page: Include the following information:
Title of the article (concise and informative)
Full name(s) of the author(s) + ORCID ID
Affiliation(s) of the author(s) including full address, e-mail address(s): in a footnote
Abstract: A concise abstract of no more than 250 words should be included following the title. The abstract should summarize the research question, methodology, key findings, and conclusions.
Keywords: Provide 3-5 keywords after the abstract.
Headings: Use clear and consistent headings and subheadings to organize your manuscript.
Quotations: Use double quotation marks for quotations within the text. Longer quotations (more than 40 words) should be indented and single-spaced without quotation marks.
Notes: Use footnotes rather than endnotes. Footnotes should be numbered consecutively and placed at the bottom of the relevant page. Keep footnotes concise and primarily for supplementary information or explanations, not for referencing.
References: AAT follows the APA 7th edition style guide for citations and references. A complete list of works cited should be included at the end of the manuscript. Ensure that all in-text citations correspond to entries in the Works Cited list. Please consult the latest edition of the APA 7th edition for detailed guidelines.
III. Submission Process:

A statement confirming that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration by another journal should be included in the submission email.
IV. Review Process:
All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process.
Authors will be notified of the outcome of the review process.
The editors reserve the right to make minor editorial changes to accepted manuscripts.
V. Publication:
Accepted manuscripts will be published in the next available issue of the journal.
Authors will have access to the issue in which their article appears.
VI. Ethical Considerations:
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their research adheres to the highest ethical standards.
